Gittens-Murray Private Residence
This is an ultra modern architectural home built to the highest standards. The clients brief was very clear – an effective heating and hot water system which was to be user friendly,cost effective,reduce their dependency on fossil fuels and be dependable. The success of the project was the communication between the clients (both architects) Eco Life Energy and the various trades on the site. Underfloor heating was laid on both floors with a total area of 380 square metres.

A geothermal heatpump and ground collector array was installed,with smart control providing individual room thermostatic control linked back to a central control pad. Hot water production was provided by an Ochsner Europa mini heat pump which extracts waste heat from kitchen and bathrooms and turns it into useful hot water. A cost meter keeps a daily /monthly account of the energy usage of the building. The owners are delighted with the running costs, without any compromise to the levels of heat and hot water which they enjoy. Smart design and implementation, combined with cutting edge technology are the key elements to the success of the installation.
