Droimnin Nursing Home
Droimnin Nursing Home is a new, modern 70 bed nursing home located in picturesque Stradbally Co. Laois. It has an area of 4,500 square metres and is of block, two storey construction. The proposed heating system was to consist of conventional oil boilers with pressure jet burners linked to high temperature radiators, and cylinders to provide domestic hot water. The Eco Life Hybrid Heating System was installed consisting of condensing oil boilers,large future buffer tank ,full smart control system and plate heat exchanger to provide domestic hot water to the home.

The system was commissioned in December 2010 and because of its intelligent design, running costs are proving very cost effective. An important feature of the system is how space heating can be achieved from low temperature hot water. This in turn means that the" touch temperature" of the radiators meets all HIQA requirements and because of this did not have to be replaced. While the home reaches full capacity,only rooms that are occupied and common areas are heated,thus resulting in lower running costs. Once again the Eco Life Hybrid Heating System is showing its versatility with a quick return on investment,this time in a new build application.
