SEAI AWARDS 2011

• To round off a very successful year for Eco Life Energy, they were nominated as finalists in the 2011 SEAI Renewable Energy System Award Category.

• The site choosen was at Ballyraggett Co. Kilkenny, where the Hybrid 60/140 Series was installed in late 2010.

• The judges visited the site and were very impressed with the system, in particular the ease with which it was integrated into the existing plant room pipe work, the savings accrued from the installation, the scalability of the system to meet the demands of larger or smaller buildings, and the short payback period of the system. One judge commented on how well the hybrid system looked on site.

• The award ceremony took place at the Conrad Hotel, with the guest speaker Mr Pat Rabbitte, Minister for Communications,Energy and Natural Resources. He stressed the value of energy efficiency in the drive to make Ireland a better place to live and work in.

• Eco Life finished a close second to University College Cork who had a megawatt ground source heat pump application. • The judges commented on how difficult a decision they had in choosing between the two entries.

• The success of the Eco Life Hybrid System is that it can be replicated in any building across Ireland, Europe and indeed the world.
